"I was living in Brooklyn in 1969 or 1970 when my sister Elaine came to visit. It was one of her first trips ever to New York so we decided to do some of the big spots-- Empire State Building, Times Square and the Statue of Liberty. I think we were in the line on Liberty Island to go up into the statue, when we ran into Barb Heyne. What a surprise! I don't remember who Barbara was with, or what was said, but it was a friendly meeting. Interestingly, I have never seen her, or been back to the statue, since." --Dale Yarger
"In the late '60s, when I was going to art school in New York (Pratt Institute), I took planes, and buses and trains between Rochester and NYC. One time-- in 1969 maybe-- I ran into Anita Clark at the Rochester-Monroe County Airport on my way out of town. It was a quick moment of recognition and 'Hey, how you doing?', and she looked fantastic, as always-- in her full '60s Afro!

I ran into Steve Kirxhalli at the Howard Johnson's in Concord, New Hampshire some
years ago. And while I was recording a city government meeting here in Lebanon, Sarah Hartwell's name came up. She works in the town just north of Lebanon. --Bob Olcott
